South Bay Youth Soccer Coach Faces Child Porn Charges: Police
Police say the 37-year-old coach was also in possession of more than 600 images depicting child porn.

MANHATTAN BEACh, CA — A South Bay soccer coach has been arrested on suspicion of trying to have sex with a minor and charged with possessing hundreds of pictures depicting child porn, the Los Angeles Police Department announced Tuesday.
Details about the circumstances of his arrest were limited, but police say 37-year-old Jared Crevar was arrested on Thursday, May 1, on suspicion of trying to meet with a minor for sex.

He was later charged by the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office with possessing more than 600 images depicting child porn, the LAPD said.
Crevar, who authorities say was coaching in Redondo Beach's AYSO Region 17 at the time of his arrest, is currently out on $100,000 bail, according to inmate records.

Police are now asking for the public's help in identifying more possible victims.
The LAPD asks that anyone who may be a victim or have more information about the suspected crime contact investigators at 213-280-1501.
