A "stand-alone" group of police personnel will operate on the Fourth of July in addition to typical patrol staffing, Manhattan Beach Police Lt. Andy Harrod told Patch Wednesday.
The "special event team" in Manhattan Beach will consist of staff on four-wheel vehicles, bicycles, cars and foot in donwtown, the north end, beach and city parks, he said.
