Suspect Evades Police In Manhattan Beach Break-In Attempt

Manhattan Beach police are searching for a suspect who attempted to break into a home and remove the doorbell camera.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A suspect attempted to break into a home in Manhattan Beach Tuesday evening, leading to police swarming the area, the Manhattan Beach Police Department announced Wednesday.

At approximately 7:34 p.m. yesterday, officers from the Manhattan Beach Police Department responded to a home in the 2000 block of Walnut Avenue regarding a person attempting to break into the residence.

The suspect tried to remove the doorbell camera and fled before police arrived, police said. The suspect is described as an adult male in his 50s, wearing a black beanie, red and white flannel shirt with a white shirt underneath and blue jeans, according to MBPD.
