MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Manhattan Beach Police Department crime summary.
From Feb. 29 to March 6 there were:
- 616 calls for service
- 15 arrests
- 17traffic collisions
- 48 crime reports taken

- On Feb. 29 officers responded to a burglary at BevMo. As police arrived, they watched a vehicle leave the parking lot and attempted to perform a traffic stop on the car. The driver refused to stop, police said, and a chase ensued. Officers were able to arrest four out of five suspects believed to be responsible for the burglaries. READ MORE.
- On March 3, Police responded to a residential burglary at a home that is currently being renovated. According to police, suspects cut the lock on the garage door, entered the property and stole furniture, cameras and suitcases.
- At about 5 a.m. on March 4, police responded to a burglary report at an Arco gas station. The employee at the location told police the front door of the gas station was shattered when she arrived and scratcher lottery tickets were stolen.
- At about 3:45 a.m. on March 5, police were dispatched to a burglary report at the AT&T store. A witness on the scene told police she watched a man smash the glass with an object, enter the store and conceal items. Police said a cellphone, smartwatches and an iPad were stolen.
