Traffic Stop Escalates Into Pursuit, Arrest In Manhattan Beach
Police arrested the suspect after he fled into a neighborhood and ran atop rooftops of residences and carports

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A traffic stop escalated into a police pursuit and arrest in Manhattan Beach over the weekend, authorities said.
Police said they attempted to stop a car early Saturday morning, but the driver refused to stop, which led to a short pursuit. The vehicle chase concluded in Hawthorne when the suspect's tire popped, police said.
"The driver abandoned his car and tried his best parkour moves on the roofs of numerous residences and carports to escape our perimeter," MBPD said on Facebook.

With the assistance of officers from the Hawthorne and El Segundo Police Departments, officers were able to locate the suspect.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of felony evasion, DUI, drug possession and violating his probation, MBPD said.
