Here are five things for your Tuesday in Manhattan Beach:

  1. Tuesday, July 23 is National Hot Dog Day, so get your doggers on! What's your favorite brand of hot dog, and where do you go when you need a hot dog fix? In Manhattan Beach, we have HotDoggers, where they boast the "World’s Largest Selection of Hot Dogs With 65 Different Toppings!" They're at 1605 North Sepulveda Boulevard; (310) 545-0066.
  2. Make sure you're "Patched In" to get alerts on breaking news as it happens in town this week (and after), make sure you are signed up to get our emails. Click on the 'get the daily newsletter' at the top, right corner of this page. (If you see something that says, "hi, username," then you're already registered. In that case, click on "email settings" under the drop-down tab under your name.)
  3. The Manhattan Beach City Council and the Parks and Recreation Commission will hold a joint meeting tonight from 6 to 11 p.m. in the police/fire conference room, 420 15th Street. The general business as listed on the meeting agenda is a discussion of the roles of the commission and its future.
  4. Elegance Boutique Spa in North Manhattan Beach on Tuesday, July 23 is offering a $55 quickie peel with Andrea, according to their Facebook site. The treatment includes a cleanse, peel application and hand massage. Call (310) 546-5610 for appointments.
