Two Killed in Inglewood Officer-Involved Shooting Identified

The shooting occurred about 3:10 a.m. Sunday on Manchester Boulevard at Inglewood Avenue.

The man and woman killed in an officer-involved shooting in Inglewood were identified by the coroner’s office Tuesday as 32-year- old Marquintan Sandlin and 31-year-old Kisha Mihael.

The shooting occurred about 3:10 a.m. Sunday on Manchester Boulevard at Inglewood Avenue, said Inglewood police Lt. Scott Collins.

Officers sent there on a call that a vehicle had stopped in a traffic lane saw that a woman had a gun, Collins said. The officers took cover and ordered the people to get out of the vehicle.

“An officer-involved shooting then occurred,” Collins said. “Both occupants were struck by gunfire and the female occupant possessing the firearm was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Sandlin died at a hospital, Collins said. A gun was recovered at the scene of the shooting, police said.

Sandlin’s hometown was not available.
