Woman Fatally Shot Following Argument At South Bay Strip Mall

HAWTHORNE, CA — Sheriff's deputies are investigating after a woman was shot and killed early Friday morning following a dispute at a strip mall in Hawthorne, according to authorities.
The woman was in her car outside a strip mall sports bar in the 11000 block of South Inglewood Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, when someone shot her multiple times just before 2 a.m. The woman died at the scene.
The shooting appears to have been prompted by an argument between the suspect and the woman during a karaoke night at VIP Sports Bar, according to Fox News.

The suspect then fled the scene in a silver luxury car, according to the LASD. It's unclear if the suspect and the woman knew each other.
Deputies believe there were about 40 to 50 people present in the parking lot when the shooting took place.
