$20,000 Reward Offered For Missing Marina Del Rey Cat

The cat, whose name is Bentley, is a savannah cat - a cross between a domesticated cat and a wild African serval cat - went missing Feb. 27.

MARINA DEL REY, CA -- An exotic cat has gone missing in Marina Del Rey and his owner is willing to pay $20,000 to get him back.

The cat, whose name is Bentley, is a savannah cat -- a cross between a domesticated cat and a wild African serval cat -- went missing Feb. 27. The breed is quite rare and can fetch up to $8,000, which explains the hefty price tag for his safe return.

The reward was initially $5,000 but the owner quadrupled it to make it more profitable for those who found him to return the cat to her rather than selling it to someone else.

Bentley is certainly a special cat. His owner, who would like to remain anonymous, has even hired bloodhounds to look for the feline.

The 8-month-old cat, a declawed, spotted brown tabby, escaped from his home in the 13900 block of Marquesas Way. Anyone who's seen him was asked to call (310) 299-7905.
