90 Degree Heat Could Hit Marina Del Rey Through Friday: NWS

Dangerously high temperatures could hit Marina del Rey Wednesday through Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

MARINA DEL REY, CA — Marina del Rey locals could watch temperatures rise up to 90 degrees this week, according to the National Weather Service.

An excessive heat watch is underway from Wednesday morning through Friday afternoon for the Los Angeles County Coast, including Downtown Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley. Malibu, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Long Beach, Woodland Hills, Northridge, Burbank, Universal City, Pasadena, San Gabriel and Pomona are expected to see dangerously high temperatures.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 53. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast in the evening.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 75. North northeast wind around 10 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 82. North northeast wind around 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57. North northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 84.

Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 57.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 82.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 82.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 82.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 68.

Residents are advised to drink lots of fluids and stay in air-conditioned rooms or out of the sun, according to NWS. Residents should also check in on their neighbors and relatives.
