Boat Catches Fire In Marina Del Rey
A 35-foot boat is on fire in Marina del Rey, according to reports.

MARINA DEL REY, CA — A 35-foot boat caught on fire in Marina del Rey Friday afternoon and two people were injured, according to reports.
A 35-foot power boat caught fire, and three people were safely removed from the boat, according to U.S Coast Guard Petty Officer Mark Barney. The fire was reported about 1:40 p.m. on Mindanao Way near Burton Chance Park. By about 2 p.m., the majority of the fire was extinguished by the Los Angeles County Fire Department Harbor Patrol, Barney added.
No other vessels are believed to be threatened. Three people are being transported to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, two of which will be treated for burns, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's representative told Patch.

The boat was not submerged in the fire, but it remains a pollution threat, said Barney. The Coast Guard will take over efforts to clean up the damage, he added.
