The fire was reported at 8:41 p.m. in Eugenia B. Hannon Apartments, used for overnight accommodations, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The building is located in the southern section of the LMU campus in Westchester.
Two campus security officers were examined at the scene for possible smoke inhalation injuries suffered in the fire and then released, Humphrey said.
