A fundraiser to support brain tumor awareness and research will be held in Playa del Rey on Nov. 4.
The 5th annual Heroes of Hope Race for Brain Tumor Research will raise funds for brain tumor research at UCLA Cedars-Sinai. The race takes place at Dockweiler State Beach, and participants can sign up to walk and run or make a donation.
“Every year, we hope it is the last year we have to raise awareness and funds for this debilitating and often fatal disease. The event offers an amazing day of hope and remembrance; we hope all those impacted by brain tumors will do their part in raising awareness.” said race organizer Lisa Millar, who lost her brother, Brad Kaminsky, to brain cancer over 11 years ago.
