Interjet Starts New Route from LAX to Guadalajara
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said the new route is the result of a trade mission he took to Mexico in 2014.

Mexican airline Interjet introduced service Thursday between Los Angeles International Airport and Guadalajara.
Mayor Eric Garcetti joined Interjet executives and airport officials at LAX to mark the airline’s first Guadalajara flight.
He said the new route is the result of a trade mission he took to Mexico in 2014, when he “met with Mexican leaders to explore ways to create more opportunities for commercial and cultural exchange.”

“This Interjet flight from LAX to Guadalajara is a direct result of those discussions, and I couldn’t be more proud to see the first plane take off,” he said.
Interjet, which is housed in the newly renovated Terminal 2, joins Volaris, Aeromexico, American, Delta and other airlines at LAX to offer flights to and from Guadalajara.
