Letter to the Editor: Save Stray Animals

Although the average resident of Los Angeles doesn't probably realize it yet, we are all but a stones throw away from losing our city's 7 animal shelters forever! This will mean that L.A.'s stray animals will soon have nowhere to go should they becomes lost.

And the time to act is NOW! Unless enough of L.A.'s faithfull and concerned citizens notify city hall and weigh in against the L.A. Animal Services General Manager Brenda Barnette plan to "privatize" L.A.'s extensive animal shelter network, we will soon lose this fine institution forever!

Please don't allow that to happen! If you do, you can believe me when I tell you we will all be sorry - but not until it's too late.
