Update: Culver Boulevard Now Open After Explosives Scare

Culver Boulevard reopened to traffic at about 3:15 p.m. after a man who came in to relinquish some explosive materials at the LAPD Pacific Division station prompted the bomb squad to arrive on the scene, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman.

Culver Boulevard between Inglewood Boulevard and Centinela Avenue was closed off for about five hours as a result of the police presence. 

The person who brought in the explosive material at abot 9:50 a.m. to the station, located at 12312 Culver Blvd. in Del Rey, did not make any threats and is being detained by the police.
