Police Arrest Alleged Child Molester from Playa Vista who Met Victim Online
Andrew "Andy" Cabrera allegedly met the boy in Hermosa Beach, then took him back to his home to engage in lewd acts for several hours.

Hermosa Beach police have arrested a 38-year-old Playa Vista man — a registered sex offender — suspecting he had sexual contact with a 13-year-old boy he met over the internet.
After meeting online, police allege that Andrew “Andy” Cabrera met up with the boy in Hermosa Beach, then drove him to his Playa Vista home to molest him, according to a press release from the Hermosa Beach Police Department.
The suspect and the victim engaged in sexual intercourse and lewd acts over several hours, police allege.

An investigation began after the boy’s parents discovered communication between the two and called Hermosa Beach police.
Cabrera has been booked on suspicion of a lewd act upon a child and sodomy of a person under 14.
