Sunny Afternoon, St. Bernard's Teams Play for Titles, Follow Us
The St. Bernard boys basketball team loses in the state championship game and the girls team is set to compete for the title.

Today is March 25. It is the 84th day of the year. We are under a waning gibbous moon. Sunset will occur about 7:10 p.m. Here are five things to know:
1. The National Weather Service forecast for the rest of the afternoon calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 61 degrees and partly cloudy skies tonight with a low around 48 degrees. There's a 20 percent chance of showers Saturday after 11 a.m. with increasing clouds later in the day and a 50 percent chance of showers Saturday night. It should be mostly sunny Sunday with a 20 percent chance of showers in the morning.
2. Playa del Rey resident Phil Jackson and the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Lakers play the Los Angeles Clippers tonight at Staples Center. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.
3. The St. Bernard boys basketball team lost in the Division V state title game this afternoon as St. Joseph Notre Dame of Alameda won 47-44 in Sacramento. The St. Bernard girls basketball team is also playing this afternoon for a state championship. Check back here later for stories.
