'Unruly' Party at Marina Del Rey Beach Draws Police Response
The Sheriff's Department responds as hundreds allegedly cause a ruckus at Mother's Beach.

A disturbance broke out Sunday evening involving a large crowd of people at Mother's Beach in Marina del Rey, but no one was injured, as Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said.
The ruckus was reported at 6:07 p.m. at Admiralty Way and Palawan Way as authorities received calls regarding a loud crowd gathering in the area, according to the watch commander of the Marina del Rey sheriff's station.
"It was an unruly party, in excess of 300 people, men and women, all young adults," he said, describing their violations as "drinking in public, loitering and littering."
Multiple sheriff's units called in to disperse the party, with no injuries reported and no arrests made.
KTLA reported that the party was propagated through social media and had the theme of "blankets and bottles."
