Assistant Superintendent - Everything Is Back To Normal At Alhambra High
Martinez school district assistant superintendent Rick Rubino said the day at Alhambra High went by without incident.

The following statement was issued this afternoon by Martinez Unified School District assistant superintendant Rick Rubino:
"As expected, today was a normal school day.Β At this time theΒ police feel they have exhausted all leads and that no credible threatΒ remains. I would Β like to extend my special thanks to the MartinezΒ Police for their exceptional efforts and support. Β They have workedΒ tirelessly to bring this issue to resolution. Β I would also like toΒ take this opportunity to commend the Alhambra High SchoolΒ administrative team and staff for their professionalism during thisΒ stressful situation. Β Principal Nermin Kamel is to be commended for her calmΒ leadership and thoughtful response.Β
Although incidents of this nature are disturbing, we have been able toΒ use this as an opportunity to review and refine our safety proceduresΒ on all of our campuses. The Martinez Police Department is committedΒ to working with us on this effort.
