Benicia-Martinez Bridge Inspection To Result In Lane Closure
The bridge remains safe for motorists to travel on during the inspection, according to Caltrans.
SOLANO AND CONTRA COSTA COUNTIES, CA — Caltrans bridge maintenance has scheduled a daily lane closure Aug. 1-4 on southbound Interstate 680 at the Benicia -Martinez Bridge to conduct its biennial bridge inspection.
The far-left lane will be closed while the other three lanes will remain open for motorists to travel on.
Caltrans area bridge maintenance engineers will use an under-bridge inspection truck from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1 through Thursday, Aug. 4.
