Check Out The Creative Side of Healing Next Thursday

Contra Costa Regional Medical Center is hosting its annual arts and crafts event Oct. 6.

The public is invited to see the creative side of healing and healers as Contra Costa County Health Services employees share their skills as painters, musicians, photographers and other artistic pursuits on Thursday, Oct. 6 at the  Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, 2500 Alhambra Avenue, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“The event, called Health Care Workers as Creators, will also feature hands-on creativity workshops,” said Oliver Symonds, Community and Media Relations Specialist for Contra Costa Health Services.

Among the works on display will be photography, woodwork, textiles and other visual arts, in addition to a musical variety show featuring country and western, bluegrass, rock, rhythm and blues, vocal music, and Aztec and hula dancing. Food and drinks will also be available.

There is a suggested donation of $10 to $20 to attend this event, which will be held in the CCRMC courtyard.
