City Of Martinez To Honor Veterans With Annual Event

The Veteran's Commission Memorial Day Ceremony begins at 10 a.m. with a flag raising at Alhambra Pioneer Cemetery.

MARTINEZ, CA — The city of Martinez will honor veterans with its annual Veteran’s Commission Memorial Day Ceremony, the city announced on Social Media.

The city made the announcement on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter.

The event is scheduled for Veterans Day, Saturday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. at Alhambra Pioneer Cemetery, 3 Carquinez Scenic Drive, for a flag raising ceremony before moving to Ignacio Plaza City Hall, Alhambra Avenue and Henrietta Street for a full ceremony at 11 a.m.

"The ceremony will conclude with a three-volley salute so please be aware for anybody in the area that day," the city said.
