City of Martinez Offering Babysitting Workshop
Participants can learn the skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children.

MARTINEZ, CA -- The American Red Cross recently updated its Babysitter’s Training guidelines, adding features such as a CD-ROM loaded with helpful information for the babysitter, so the City of Martinez is holding a workshop soon on babysitting.
Babysitters can learn the skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children. Topics will include running a small business, safety, safe play, discipline, basic infant care and basic first aid.
A book with a babysitter certificate, supplies and snacks are included, but no CPR or first aid certification will be provided with the class.
