Coroner Identifies Driver Killed In Hwy 4 Crash Near Bay Point
CHP investigators said a Honda Pilot hit a Jeep Cherokee that was stopped along the center divide after being involved in a prior collision.
BAY POINT, CA — The Contra Costa County Coroner's Office has identified a person killed in a two-car crash on eastbound state Highway 4 early Thursday.
Severo Duran, 26, of Pacheco, died in the crash reported shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday on eastbound Highway 4 near San Marco Boulevard near Bay Point.
CHP investigators said a Honda Pilot hit a Jeep Cherokee that was stopped along the center divider after being involved in a prior collision.

Duran, the Jeep driver, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Honda driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, CHP officials said.
