Dead Body Found on Highway Four
Body discovered in or near car facing the wrong way on eastbound Highway Four.

A person was found dead along state Highway 4 Saturday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP responded to reports of a car facing the wrong way on
eastbound Highway 4 near Interstate Highway 680 at about 9:20 p.m., Officer
Scott Cakebread said.
Responding officers found a small white hatchback facing the wrong
way on the right-hand shoulder of the highway. The hatchback had some glass
broken and smoke coming out of it, Cakebread said.

The deceased was related to the damaged car, but Cakebread could not say if the body was found inside the car or nearby.
The Contra Costa County coroner's office was not available for comment. No arrests and no other injuries were reported.
