Fog Alert This Morning For Bay Area Bridges

The Martinez Benicia Bridge is expected to have half a mile visibility or less until 7 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol has issued heavy fog advisories forΒ major Bay Area bridges this morning.

A dense fog advisory is in effect for the region until 7 a.m.,Β according to the National Weather Service.

Foggy condition alerts are in place for the Benicia-Martinez, SanΒ Mateo-Hayward, Dumbarton, Carquinez, Richmond, Golden Gate and Bay bridges,Β according to the CHP.

Advisories were issued between midnight and 12:30 a.m.

Weather officials recorded visibility at less than a half mile inΒ parts of the Bay Area.

According to the CHP, visibility on the Golden Gate Bridge is onlyΒ one-tenth of a mile.
