Girls Water Polo Team Takes Top Honors At Pinole Valley Invitational
Alex Manuli led the team in scoring with 21 goals in 30 shots over three games.

The Alhambra Girls Varsity Water Polo team went a perfect 4-0 this past weekend to earn the championship crown of the 2011 Pinole Valley Invitational.
The Bulldogs beat California High in the final 6-3.Β Alex Manuli scored five goals while Jayni Abraham added one.Β Goalie Mollie West had a big game, collecting 14 saves, four steals and two assists on goals.
Earlier in the tournament Alhambra beat Antioch 14-2 in the first round, Alameda 13-3 in the second round and Terra Linda 11-2 in the semi-final.

Alex Manuli, a junior, led the team in scoring, putting in 21 goals onΒ 30 shots in the last three games of the tournament. She also had three assists and seven steals in those three games.
The Bulldogs are now 13-8 for the season.Β
