Glover To Open Martinez Office

The new county supervisor for Martinez will open an office here and in Hercules.

Contra Costa County constituents in District 5 will soon have more access to their county supervisor, who has plans to open two additional offices in the sprawling district, county officials said Friday.

has plans for offices in Hercules and Martinez as an addition to his current Pittsburg office.

The Hercules office is set to open early next month and the Martinez office will open soon after, following some remodeling, Glover's office said.

Glover said in a statement the new offices will be housed in already existing county buildings so they will not cost the county rent.

District 5 extends along the county's northern shore from Pinole in the west to Antioch in eastern Contra Costa County.

The Pittsburg office is located at 315 E. Leland Road. The Hercules office will soon open at 151 Linus Pauling Drive; and the Martinez office will open soon after at 651 Pine St, in the County Administration Building.

Glover is already facing a challenge for the seat next year by Martinez councilman who announced his intentions to run for the seat in August, shortly after the supervisors approved the new district boundaries.
