I-680 Reopens After Big Rig Jack-Knifes, Spills Fuel Near Pacheco
The roadway was closed for more than seven hours Wednesday, according to CHP Contra Costa.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — A five-vehicle collision resulted in the closure of Interstate 680 southbound in the Pacheco area for more than seven hours Wednesday, the California Highway Patrol said.
At 7:43 a.m., CHP Contra Costa was notified of the crash north of Pacheco Boulevard. Two of the involved parties suffered minor injuries in the crash involving a big rig.
The semi-truck collided with the concrete center divide which caused its trailers to become jack-knifed —blocking all southbound lanes of the freeway, the CHP said.
