Motorists traveling on eastbound I-80 just east of the Carquinez Bridge Toll Plaza should drive with caution as traffic will be reduced to one lane.

CC I-80 Paving Project Hotline, Webpage

According to Caltrans, this series of weekend and holiday I-80 closures will reduce the number of overnight lane closures needed to complete this work this summer instead of completion in late 2024.

The closures allow for concrete pavement replacement in traffic lanes Nos. 2 and 3, and shorten the duration of the project by nine months, providing improved safety and better ride quality to the public.

Those who have questions or want to share a concern about the project can call the Contra Costa I-80 Pave Project Hotline at 510-286-0319. The hotline was set up for the traveling public and residents of Contra Costa and Solano counties and has the most up-to-date information about the project.
