Lady Washington Makes Its Way Past Martinez

The tallship 'Lady Washington' was the first American vessel to touch the west coast of the United States. The famed ship was recreated in 1989 in Aberdeen, WA, and Sunday made its way from Antioch to San Francisco. 

The ship was also featured in the 2003 film "Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl." 

Martinez Patch columnist was kind enough to capture a couple of pictures of the Lady Washington on its way to the city.
