Martinez Main Street Car Show - Glitz, Glamor and Gears

It was a festival of iron, steel, metal flake and metallic candy colors on Saturday, as the annual car and truck show came back to Main Street. Over 100 classic cars and trucks were parked along Main and its side streets, showing off the nation's past automotive glory as Chevys, Fords and Chyslers from the 1940s through the 1980s gleamed in the sun. 

While visitors strolled and admired the metal, the sounds of nostalgia blared from the DJ's PA system, featuring hits from the same era as the cars came from.
