Martinez Man With Bullet Wound Crashes Car Into Antioch Residence

BREAKING: The driver, who died at the scene, was described by police as a 27-year-old.

MARTINEZ, CA -- A man died after his vehicle struck an East Bay residence the night of Jan. 17, police said.

At about 9:38 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of East 13th Street near Simmons Street in Antioch on a report of a vehicle that struck a residence.

According to police, when officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that the driver of the vehicle was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The driver died at the scene and is described by police as a 27-year-old man from Martinez.

The occupants of the residence that was struck by the vehicle were not injured, police said.
