MEF President Thanks Shell, Community for Successful Event
Martinez Education Foundation president Larry Lippow expresses his gratitude for the community's support of education.

On behalf of the Martinez Education Foundation, I would like to say a big thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors and runners that made the 2011 Shell/MEF Run for Education a big success!
The community support and collaboration to create a fun and healthy event for all participants is an example of the great town of Martinez coming together to make our public schools better.
An extra big thank you and much gratitude go to Shell Martinez Refinery for their outstanding corporate citizenship in making the Shell/MEF Run for Education their annual hallmark community event. Shell Martinez Refinery donates money, staff time and volunteers that are major contributing factors to the success of the race. The outstanding leadership and efforts of Shell Martinez Refinery general manager, Paul Gabbard, along with Steve Lesher, Cathy Ivers and Erin Hallissy are much appreciated.Â
