VACAVILLE - Vacaville police used a patrol car fingerprint reader Wednesday evening to arrest a Hawthorne man who is suspected of committing identity theft crimes in the western United States.
Darnell Thompson, 27, presented a fraudulent California driver's license during a traffic stop by vice detectives, police said.
The fingerprint reader in the police vehicle and further investigation determined Thompson's true identity and the fact he was suspected of committing ongoing mail theft, identity theft and fraud in the western states, police said.
