Pedestrian Fatally Struck On Martinez Street
The victim was transported to a hospital but died, Martinez police said.
MARTINEZ, CA — A 75-year-old man has died after he was struck by a vehicle Monday night in Martinez, according to police. The collision occurred around 8:47 p.m. at the intersection of
Berrellesa and Green streets, police said.
Officers arrived to find the victim lying in the roadway and attempted life-saving measures. The man was transported to a hospital, where he was declared dead, police said.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, according to police. Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in the collision, police said.
