CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — A person was struck by a train Thursday evening in the Crockett area of unincorporated Contra Costa County, according to Amtrak. The strike involved train No. 5, and occurred at roughly 6:20 p.m.
There were 129 passengers aboard the train at the time, but there were no injuries reported among the passengers or crew.
Information about the condition of the victim was not immediately available.
