PG&E Crews Repairing Gas Leak in Walnut Creek

As of 10:15 a.m., there was still no estimate for when the gas leak would be capped.

Crews were working to cap a gas leak in a residential Walnut Creek neighborhood Thursday morning, according to PG&E.

Around 9 a.m., workers at a construction site on Castle Glen Road near Creekdale Road accidentally ripped a 1.5-inch service line out of a larger gas main, PG&E spokeswoman Tamar Sarkissian said.

The rupture left three customers in the area without power, she said. No evacuations were ordered and no injuries were reported.

As of 10:15 a.m., there was still no estimate for when the gas leak would be capped.
