Police Log — A Lot of Noise

JUNE 5

Noise – A loud party was reported in a back yard on South Harborview Drive.

Drunken driving – A woman was arrested at the corner of Pacheco Boulevard and Arthur Road on a charge of drunken driving.

Screaming man – A man was reported screaming and appearing intoxicated at the Marina about 2:18 a.m.

Noise –  People in a car in the lower lot of Alhambra High School were reported as playing very loud music at 3 a.m.

Under the influence arrest – A woman was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances in the “downtown” Safeway parking lot at 3:30 a.m. 

Noise – A loud party was reported at the Lotus Apartments on Alhambra Avenue at 3:41 a.m.

Early morning honk – A car on Jones Street was reportedly honking the horn at 4:02 a.m.

Careless thief – A man who reportedly broke into a van on Morello Heights Drive dropped his wallet and cell phone.

Slashed tires – A car on Ward Street had its tires slashed.

Dope(s) – A group of teenagers were reportedly smoking marijuana in Susana Street Park.

Noise – A loud music complaint was received from Fig Tree Lane.

Noise – A car in the Hidden Valley Parking Lot was said to be playing loud music at 6:30 p.m.

Paintball attack – A resident in the Muirwood Apartments reported a paintball battle taking place, with paintballs hitting her window and building.

Inadvertently stored – A man reported he was locked inside the Public Storage facility.

Breaking into auto –The driver side window of a car on Fig Tree Lane was popped out.

Strange sighting – Someone reported that something “smoking and bubbling” in the water near the fishing pier, about three feet from the shore.

Noise – A noise complaint was received about 11:07 p.m. at the Alhambra Manor Apartments.

JUNE 6

Please get dressed – A man in his late 20s was reportedly running through the Roanoke Drive neighborhood in his underwear.

Drunk arrest – A man was arrested outside of the Marina Market on Escobar Street at 7:56 a.m. on a charge of public intoxication.

Flag theft – Someone stole a flag and pole in front of the office of St. Catherine’s Chuch on Ferry Street.

Rum theft – A group of teenagers reportedly stole five bottles of rum from the Golden Vintage store on Alhambra Avenue.

JUNE 7

Car theft – A car was stolen on Berrellsa Street.

No fare – A man was reported as entering the Amtrak Station after not paying his fare to ride the train; it was the latest of many times the man had been caught.

A rude awakening – A couple on Boynton Avenue heard a car alarm go off about 4 a.m., and later that morning discovered their car's passenger window had been smashed.

Car theft – A car was stolen on Farm Lane.

Smash and grab – A car was broken into at the Lotus Apartments on Alhambra Avenue, and $420 was taken.

Watch out for the cow – A cow was reported out of her pen and about to step into Alhambra Avenue. 

Weird sighting – A man on Spring Lake Drive was reportedly pouring a white substance into the middle of the street, pouring water on it and then putting out an orange construction cone.

Auto dismantle – A person was seen on Carquinez Scenic Drive taking apart the shell of an SUV and throwing the parts down the cliff.

JUNE 8

Burglary – An employee of Mustang Engineering on Howe Road reported the business was burglarized. 

Accident – A woman hit a gate at Hidden Valley Park and the pole of the gate went all the way through her vehicle.

Orange assault – A group of teens threw an orange at a car on Muir Road and Glacier Drive.

Bullets found – Someone found a box of bullets for a long rifle on Platt Drive.

Suspicious solicitor – A woman was reportedly going door to door on Eastwoodbury Lane saying she was meeting mothers and finding out how many children they have for college credit.

Scooter gang – A pair of scooter riders on the Martinez Adult School campus reportedly started a fight with staff and refused to leave.

Burglary – A home on Barber Lane was burgled.

Kicks – Three men in their early 20s were reportedly kicking cars and throwing firecrackers in the area of Ferry and Green streets.

Fence jumper – A man was arrested on a charge of public intoxication after he was seen jumping backyard fences on Brown Street.

Fence removers – A group of teens were seen tearing down a chain link fence at Ward and Las Juntas streets.

JUNE 11

Car theft – A car on G Street was reported stolen, a man was later arrested.

Pool invasion – A man and woman were cited for trespassing at the pool on Hidden Creek Court.

Theft – A catalytic converter was stolen from a car on Minaret Drive.

Theft – Bicycles and other items were stolen from a garage on Lassen Drive.

Theft – Tools were taken from a car in front of Copart Auto Auction on Waterfront Road.

Noise complaint – Loud music was reported about 10 p.m. on Blue Ridge Drive.

Noise – A loud party was reported about 11 p.m. at the Alhambra Manor Apartments on Alhambra Way.

Noise – Loud music was reported from a home on Fig Tree Lane.
