Police Log: Rock Assault, Twin Attack, Car Thefts

December 6

Stolen motorcycle – A motorcycle was reported stolen on Arnold Drive.

Ramp thefts – Ramps were reported stolen from a yard on Rolling Hills Way.

Suspicious person – A man was reported walking around Castro and Arreba streets taking pictures of houses; he said he was a student.

December 7

Broken water main – Oak Street was closed between Birch and Olive when a water main broke.

Stolen stereo – A witness saw a man run down the street shortly after a stereo was stolen from a car on E Street.

Assault with rocks – A resident of La Salle Manor Apartments on Shell Avenue reported being hit with rocks thrown by juveniles, and that one of the rocks broke his window.

December 8

Smoke scam – A woman and two men are reported trying to purchase cigarettes with fake gift cards at the Lucky’s store on Arnold Drive.

Mistaken identity – A woman on Jones Street reported that her daughter was switched with a twin, and that the twin struck her. The complaint was determined to be unfounded.

Double trouble – A man is arrested at Alhambra Avenue and E Street for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. A few hours later, the same man is arrested at The Station on Ferry Street for suspicion of sexual battery.

Seeking help – A woman ran into the Tower Mart on Howe Road and told the clerk she was running away from her abusive boyfriend who carries a gun.

Lights, please – A caller reported a man in a wheelchair on Brown Street and Ferry Street who had no lights or reflectors, and was riding in the traffic lane.

Stuck – A woman was reported stuck in the elevator at the County Administration Building on Pine Street.

December 9

Not idle long – A car on Glacier Drive that was left idling to warm up was stolen.

Injury accident – A five car injury accident occurred on Alhambra Avenue and Kim Court.

Burglary – A home on Ashwood Court was reportedly broken into and some items were taken while one of the residents slept.

Disturbance – A woman in La Primavera Restaurant on Pine Street was reported yelling and accusing people of stealing from her.

Drunk driving – A man was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving on Marina Vista.

December 10

Really wants a burger – A group of people were reportedly knocking on the door of Carl’s Jr. on Morello Avenue for 15 minutes, despite the fact that it was closed.

Car theft – A car was stolen on Euclid Avenue.

Santa’s early? – A resident of Andrews Drive reported hearing footsteps on the roof, but did not see anyone.

Medical call – A man walked into the Shell station on Alhambra Avenue and said he was having a heart attack. An ambulance was called.

December 11

Stolen bicycle – A bicycle was reported stolen from a home on Center Avenue.

Theft from cart – A woman reported leaving her purse with a Blackberry and wallet in her shopping cart at Lucky’s on Arnold Drive. When she came back to get it, it was gone.

December 12

A bad bedroom – A man was reported sleeping in the women’s room in Mt. View Park on Parkway Drive, and started a fire to keep warm.

Theft from car – A resident of Fig Tree Lane reported that their locked car was entered and $8,000 worth of equipment taken.
