11:10am β An unfortunate lesson in physics occurred at the corner of G Street and Sunrise Court when a teenager in a black SUV tried, and failed, to make a U-turn, and instead hit the vehicle of another car. The driver of the SUV decided to pretend none of this happened, and continued driving toward Alhambra Avenue. A report was taken, and police are looking for the hit and run driver.
3:37pm β A homeless camp was reported near the bike path going into Golden Hills Park near the playground, at the corner of Reliez Valley Road and Horizon Drive.

9:52am β A man reported that he was in the McDonaldβs in Walmart on Arnold Drive and using the wi-fi to conduct some personal business on his computer. He believed that two men sitting nearby were using some kind of device to capture his personal information, because the following day some fraudulent charges appeared on his bank account. Police took the report.

3:30pm β A home and vehicle on Cedar Street was spray painted by someone the victim believes may be stalking him.
3:56pm β Ah, youth. Police responded to a report of six juveniles at the corner of Ricks Avenue and F Street, βlaying on the ground and crawling.β It appeared to the reporting party that the kids were intoxicated. It's a good bet they weren't looking for early Easter Eggs. The police arrived and abated the problem, according to the log.
5:34pm β Another young man was reported in the circle parking lot at Alhambra High School wielding a baseball bat against a white Ford Bronco. He then apparently tried to take a backpack from the assaulted car.

10:31am β A computer and a bag of tools were reported stolen from an unlocked car on Ricks Avenue.
11:43am β Placing their faith in denial, or just being too stoned to realize it, a group of seven teenagers were smoking marijuana near the Brookside/F Street Bridge and forgot that the smell wafts beyond their immediate locale. A woman living nearby got wind of the pot in her kitchen, and thought it best to notify the police, who responded but found the kids gone by the time they arrived.
12:27pm β Police had several calls to the high school and/or the downtown Safeway this day. This call came in regarding two young people at the Safeway parking lot, βharassing a dog.β Police responded and said everything checked out ok.
12:40pm β Again in the Safeway parking lot, someone called and asked for extra patrols there due to an increase in traffic and high school kids hanging out there.
12:40pm β A request for an extra patrol in the parking lot of Alhambra High School came in due to βstudents on the campus yesterday looking for trouble, and they may be back today.β Police said everything checked out ok.
12:43pm β A call came in regarding a gold Saturn parked at the corner of F Street and Alhambra Avenue (near Alhambra High), with 10 to 12 teens loitering around the area, and an older man going back and forth to the car. Police took a report.
1:27pm β In a brazen daylight robbery, the front door of a home on Vista Way was kicked in, and a computer and jewelry box was stolen. The residents werenβt home at the time.
2:35pm β A young woman at the corner of Alhambra Avenue and D Street was walking on the sidewalk when a man in a dark blue 4-door sedan with tan upholstery stopped and asked her if she was of age, if she had a hotel room and how much she would charge. The man was described as 6 feet tall with short black hair, a blue long sleeve shirt and black jeans. He was gone when police arrived, hopefully forever.Β
2:48pm β A staff member at John Muir Elementary School reported being struck βwith handsβ by a female parent of a student because he took away the studentβs cell phone. No one was injured.
2:56pm β Police received word that there would be a fight in the downtwown Safeway parking lot. Juveniles were gathering there at the time of the call. Police responded and said it checked out ok.
3:16pm β Another brazen daylight robbery occurred on Vista Del Diablo, when the front door was kicked in. The victims did not yet know at the time of the call what was missing.
5:47pm β Three men were reported fishing at Hidden Lakes Park (presumably in one of the hidden lakes) and cut down a tree with a saw because it was in their way. Police responded and said it checked out ok.
6:07pm β File this one in the βwhy do we get him?β department: Amtrak notified the police that they were kicking a man off of a train because βhe is getting violent with the conductor due to no ticket.β Perhaps the train could make an unscheduled stop instead at a location where the man would have to walk several miles to civilization, giving him plenty of time to consider the foolishness of arguing with a train conductor, or boarding a train without a ticket.
11:54pm β This one just because. . . police received the following report from a home on Terrace Way: βmale acting crazy in the house.β If thatβs a crime, Iβm packing my bags and heading to Mexico.
