Refinery Advises Residents About Maintenance Projects
"Our aim is to complete this investment in a way that respects our neighbors."

MARTINEZ, CA β Martinez Refining Company advised community members of maintenance projects scheduled on existing storage tanks, a refinery roadway and a retaining wall near its fence line.
The work started in mid-January and is expected to be completed by late summer, the refinery said.
"We plan to minimize the impact on you and our other neighbors, but you may hear construction noise associated with the work on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.," the refinery's community relations team said in a Jan. 16 email. "As with all the work we do, our aim is to complete this investment in a way that respects our neighbors."

Turnaround Start Date Rescheduled
On another note, the Martinez Refining Company announced that management decided to reschedule the refineryβs maintenance turnaround β a scheduled stoppage of part or all of a refineryβs process units to inspect, replace and repair equipment β from February to May of this year.
The postponement gives the refinery additional time to examine shut-down, maintenance and start-up sequencing to minimize the potential for periodic noise, intermittent flare use and traffic congestion that may occur during the turnaround event.

"We thank our employees for their tireless work and for adjusting to the schedule change, as well as our contractor and Building Trades partners, whose members will be executing the work, for their flexibility and understanding of our decision."
