Richmond Man Has Been Convicted Of Sexually Abusing Three Female Minors And Faces A Life Sentence In Prison
Verdict brings "a measure of justice to those victims who had the courage to speak their truth," Contra Costa County DA says.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — A 41-year-old Richmond man has been convicted of sexually abusing three female minors and faces a life sentence in prison, prosecutors say.
Jorge Antonio Silva was convicted Thursday by a Contra Costa County jury of victimizing the girls at different times between 2006 and 2017, prosecutors said.
The case came to light in 2022 when one of the victims, who had been sexually assaulted from ages 4 to 8 between 2015 and 2017, disclosed the abuse to her parent, the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office said Friday in a press release.

The jury unanimously found Silva guilty of 15 felony counts with multiple enhancements or additional penalties that can be added to the sentence.
"This verdict brings a measure of justice to those victims who had the courage to speak their truth," District Attorney Diana Becton said.
The conviction "sends a message to other survivors that they will be heard and supported when they come forward."
Silva is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge John Cope on Nov. 21 in Martinez.
