Robbery At Burger King, Soliciting With A Rat, Stolen Copper

December 1

Attempted car theft – A car on Sterling Drive was entered by popping the door open with a screwdriver, and the ignition was tampered with.

No dumping, please – A resident of Sunrise Hills reported that someone threw garbage into the pool that is under construction there.

Tails of the city – A man was reportedly soliciting at the Post Office on Alhambra Avenue with a rat on his shoulder.

Stolen bike – A black bicycle with a motor was stolen from a home on Donegal Way.

Man with a van and gun – Three youngsters reported to their parents that they saw a man on Parkway Drive loading things into a van. They said the man had a gun, pointed it at them and told them to freeze. They continued walking to the park and told their parents when they got home.

December 2

Theft from car – Keys, CDs, logbook, sunglasses, a Fastrak and garage door opener were stolen from an unlocked car on Palm Avenue.

No special delivery – A man was seen at the Post Office on Alhambra Avenue putting his hand in the mailbox chute and reading the letters; he had a box and appeared nervous.

Business burglary – A business on Arnold Drive was broken into through a back window, and computer equipment was stolen.

Copper stolen – A Metro PCS worker reported $3,000 worth of copper stolen at Hidden Valley Park.

Foreign scam – A woman reported sending $5,000 to Lima, Peru on the premise that her grandson was in jail. She was advised that it is a scam.

December 3

Theft from car – A purse was stolen from a locked car at Hidden Valley Park on Center Avenue.

Theft from car – A purse was stolen from a locked car at the Park and Ride lot on Alhambra Avenue and Franklin Canyon Road.

Burglary – A 400 pound gun safe was stolen from a guest cottage on Merrithew Drive.

December 4

Unpaint job – A resident of Raap Avenue reported that paint remover had been sprayed on his entire truck.

Robbery – A man reported being approached by two other men at the Burger King on Alhambra Avenue, pushed to the ground and robbed.
