Valentine's Day Destination Weddings Offered By Contra Costa County
The county will perform 16 civil ceremonies at the Cobra Experience Museum. Couples can have up to 20 guests.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA β The Contra Costa Clerk-Recorderβs Office is returning to the Cobra Experience Museum in Martinez this Valentineβs Day to offer Destination Weddings.
Sixteen ceremonies will be performed between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the museum. Couples may have up to 20 guests witness their ceremony, which will be performed by a county deputy commissioner.
"The Clerkβs office is excited to return to this fantastic venue for a second year," said Kristin Connelly, clerk-recorder and commissioner of civil marriages. "The Cobra Experience Museum offers a special venue for Valentineβs Day ceremonies, and it also gives couples a unique photo opportunity for a day they will always remember."

The Martinez Cobra Experience Museum is an unexpected treat located in the heart of Contra Costa. The nonprofit museum at 777 Arnold Drive is committed to the promotion, conservation, education and preservation of the cars produced by Shelby American.
Because this is a popular destination wedding event, appointments book quickly. Couples who are interested should call the clerk's office and reserve their ceremony immediately, Connelly said.

Couples must purchase a marriage license from the clerk-recorder's office in Martinez before their ceremony appointment is scheduled to take place. The fee for a public marriage license is $86, while a confidential license is $90. The civil marriage ceremony fee is $60.
The office can be reached at 925-335-7900 and is open 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
