Officers responded shortly after 4:45 p.m. that day, based on a call Parker made, and found Reed with a belt around his neck with no signs of life, police said. Reedβs heartbeat was re-established and he was later put on life support at a hospital.
On Dec. 5, his family took him off of life support and he died the next day, police said.
