• Rep. Bera Highlights Sacramento City College Program Addressing National Air Traffic Controller Shortage (house.gov) — Mather residents just saw their local airport spotlighted as Rep. Ami Bera joined education and aviation leaders at Mather Airport to back Sacramento City College’s advanced air traffic control program. If the FAA approves it this week, SCC could train controllers locally for Mather, Sacramento International, and other airports, opening well‑paid aviation careers without students having to relocate to Oklahoma City.
