• CAL FIRE Funding Drives 84 Projects for Reducing Wildfire Risk and Enhancing Protection (susanvillestuff.com) — McCloud is set to benefit from new CAL FIRE grant funding, supporting a 375-acre Fuels Management and Forest Stewardship Project that includes mastication, thinning, and a ridgeline shaded fuel break in Siskiyou County. The project is one of 84 wildfire prevention efforts statewide, aimed at reducing hazardous fuels and improving community safety before the next fire season.
