2 Peninsula Cafes Among Bay Area's Best New Spots

MENLO PARK, CA — A pair of recent additions to San Mateo County's dining scene have landed on a list of the Bay Area's best new places to grab coffee and tea.
Staffers at The Mercury News curated their nine favorite newcomers around the region, from hot new matcha spots in the East Bay to a pair of cheesecake-forward cafes on the Peninsula.
In Menlo Park, the newspaper shouted out Temp & Time, a new dessert shop and cafe that specializes in Asian-inspired roll cakes and Basque cheesecakes, complimenting an array of tea and coffee options. The newspaper highlighted the matcha strawberry latte, combining a house-made fruit puree with matcha and cream.

In Burlingame, The Mercury News gave the nod to Goodthing Cafe, which opened to immediate acclaim in the fall. Some don't-miss recommendations include the guihua oat milk latte and matcha yuzu cheesecake with Hokkaido milk.
